Stay at Home Oil was built on a simple idea: getting your oil changed should not mean giving up an hour of your day. Owner-operator Stephen Thompsen brings a professional shop experience straight to your driveway — every job done personally, with the same care and attention you would expect from a full-service shop, without the drive or the wait.

Stay at Home Oil LLC is insured and registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) as a Motor Vehicle Repair business, FDACS registration #[pending]. We’re appointment-only — no walk-ins, no shop location — so every visit is scheduled ahead of time and we bring exactly what your vehicle needs.

How It Works

2. We confirm. Stephen calls or texts you back within 24 hours to lock in pricing and your appointment window.
3. We show up. We do the work in your driveway — no drop-off, no pickup, no shop visit.

Oil Changes

• Gas Engine — $85 + Oil and Filter
• Diesel Engine — $105 + Oil and Filter
• Replacement drain plug (only if yours is rounded or plastic) — $1

Bring your own oil and filter, or choose from name-brand options we carry: Argos, Pennzoil, Mobil 1, or Shell Rotella. Every oil change includes a new drain plug washer and The Clean Promise — 3-layer ground protection so we never leave a stain behind. One oil change per vehicle is the minimum purchase to qualify for other services or discounts.

Prices shown are labor only. Final cost depends on your vehicle’s oil capacity and filter. We confirm exact pricing before we arrive.

ten-Point Inspection — $10

We check 10 items: battery, air filter, cabin filter, brake fluid, coolant, power steering fluid, tie rods, struts, sway bar links/bushings, and control arm ball joints/bushings. If an item isn’t easily accessible or doesn’t apply to your vehicle (like a cabin air filter on some older models), we deduct $1 per item.

Payment is due on the day of service — we accept cash or card (via Square).

We’re appointment-only and fully mobile — no walk-ins, no shop location. We come straight to your driveway, wherever you are in our service area.

Stay at Home Oil LLC is registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services under the Florida Motor Vehicle Repair Act (ss. 559.901–559.9221, F.S.). Complaints may be filed with FDACS at 1-800-HELP-FLA.

Warranty

Labor performed by Stay at Home Oil LLC is warranted to be free from defects in workmanship for 30 days or 1,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Parts and materials we supply carry manufacturer warranty only.

Customer Supplied Parts

You are welcome to provide your own oil and filter. When you do, Stay at Home Oil LLC assumes no liability for defects in those parts or for any issues arising from them, and no warranty is expressed or implied on customer-supplied materials.

Service Location

Service is performed at your location with your permission. We ask that the work surface be level and suitable for safe service. We take care to protect your driveway, and every job includes our Clean Promise — three layers of ground protection. That said, Stay at Home Oil LLC is not liable for incidental surface staining arising from normal service operations. Any pre-existing vehicle conditions we observe will be documented on your invoice.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Plans change — we get it. We just ask for as much notice as you can give so we can offer the slot to someone else. Please let us know at least 2 hours before your appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule. If we arrive and no one is available or the vehicle is inaccessible, we may need to reschedule and a $25 trip fee may apply.
